Our health care workers and first responders are risking their lives and safety to ensure that the public remains safe. Our current death toll rate is significantly less than other countries, due to our fantastic health care workers. At the time of writing this (March 29, 1PM EST) the current death toll rate for USA is at 1.62%. So this means that out of every 100 people that get the virus. 1.62 people will die from this. Compare the death toll rate to Italy, which is currently at 10.5%. Spain is currently at 8%. These numbers are from John Hopkins, University of Medicine. These are some pretty grim numbers for everyone, but it is a testament to the United States health care system and the workers.
